Top Down Socks with Knitting Fairy -- Three-Part Class (12/1, 8 & 15)
Being able to knit basic socks is a joy. Handknit socks fit better than any other. Socks are worked in the round. This original class by Alissa Barton covers getting started with the small circ knitting method of your choice - DPNs, Tiny Circ, 2 Needles or Magic Loop. Intermediate Skill Level.

THREE PARTS -- Wednesdays, December 1, 8 & 15
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day - please make sure you can commit to all 3 days before registering
$100 p/p for all 3 sessions
Limited to 5 participants
Experience Level - Intermediate. Students should be able to knit & purl confidently.
SKILLS LEARNED DURING THREE-PART CLASS
- Small circumference knitting
- Working heel flaps
- Turning a heel
- Shaping a toe
- Kitchener stitch
MATERIALS NEEDED*
- US #2 needles in the style you have chosen from dpns, 2 circ, magic loop (40" needle or longer), tiny circ
- 400 yds sock weight yarn (400 yds/100 grams). You cannot use 100% cotton yarn, please ask the shop for help in picking the best yarn for socks.
*Class participants receive 10% off all class supplies from JuJu Knits, or you are welcome to bring yarn from your stash.
HOMEWORK
None before the first class.
Students will be expected to knit between classes and will be given clear goals.
However, being behind should not keep you from coming to the next class. Please come!
NOTE – Masks are now once again required at JuJu Knits, per CDC guidelines. All guests are still required to wash their hands upon entrance to the shop. No refunds - when you commit, so do we.
